Younger women "settle" and work things out as time goes on (this is a generalization of course). If I was single and 60 (I am not. I am married 30 years) and met my wife now, as lovely as she is, I am not sure she and I would get past the first date now. Sure we love each other, but older women ARE picky. Most have had a life and kids and money and been married so if your neck smells funny, game over. Move along because getting together with girlfriends at book club and a couple glasses of wine is a lot less stress than trying to date (this is what I hear from my wife's single friends).
