You know as well as I do this is all performative art. The GOP knows they have no legs to stand on so they have to make as much noise as possible to seem like they are doing something. Nothing will happen. The debt ceiling thing will not change anything. They will continue to lose. I am not sure what the wakeup call for them will be considering their god-king has lost so many times.

I agree though, it seems like we will continue on this path of tit for tat until something extraordinary happens. We should let the GOP run the whole kit and kaboodle and watch the entire economy tank just to wake everyone the fuck up.
