Yes and no. Yes parts of this country are slipping or gone fascist. No they aren’t ever going to take over the whole country. We are a loose confederation of states and all it would take is a bloody coup for California or Texas to say we aren’t playing by those rules. See ya! We are already seeing many backwards and poor states slip into Taliban style rule and New York and California making easier to get an abortion. Fortunately there are waaay more liberals than nut jobs and unlike Germany which was homogeneous and rather small compared to the USA it’s going to be nearly impossible for a group to install themselves as rulers over this vast country.
