Two things here. Biden shot himself in the foot by coming very high. He needed to under promise and over deliver. He did the opposite. It was an awful move and even though the legislation will be very good for all of us, it looks like he compromised too much. Americans hate weakness, especially those that lean right.

But this goes to the heart of the difference between the GOP and the Democrats. Democrats over think things because, frankly, they are generally smarter and more introspective. It just comes with the territory. Unfortunately, not all voters are that deep and just want to be told what to do. That's what the GOP is so good at. They have conviction, even though deeply flawed, about where they are going and voters just love that. That's why Trump is so popular. He may lie constantly, but he's 100% sure what he is saying is right! That's what many people want to hear. They want someone that just tells them what is good or bad for them. Democrats are too inclusive...
