Donald Trump made a very smart move back in 2016 when he courted the Christian Evangelical community. He got in front of them and promised that if he was elected, he would put conservative judges on Supreme Court. He promised that they would overturn Roe v. Wade and make abortion illegal. Well, he was right, in an unprecedented sequence of events he was able to place three judges and turn the court into a super majority of Christian Conservatives. Just like when he was elected, he was handed the opportunity that no President in modern times has had, three SCOTUS justices. They got to work immediately and with vengeance and overturned Roe v. Wade a long standing hot issue with most evangelicals. They got what they have been seeking for so long.

Obviously, Evangelicals have been cheering the new Supreme Court for their actions and the court is far from done. The 2023 court session will probably see even more drastic changes to our everyday lives as they try to remake the USA into a born-again Christian theocracy. But that’s not why I am writing this. The reason for this essay goes back to that original “deal” that Trump made with Evangelicals. That deal is essentially done. Think about it. Trump was a disgrace to them, he was not one of them, but they got what they wanted out of him…
