This reminds me to tell you that the USA was originally supposed to be a "loose confederation of sovereign states" and while I might not agree that is in our best interest as a country, these wannabe dictators are taking it to heart. I would look for more of this type of crap as the years go on until some state like Alabama decides it won't listen to Washington DC anymore (like it's doing now with the redistricting case) and things come to a head. They tried to take over with Trump and it didn't work (and won't work in 2024) so they are trying to go state by state setting up their own little fiefdoms
