This is why I pretty much stopped writing. I’ve been a reader for years but finally dawned on me to try writing in about May. I got two of the $100 bonuses and thought this is great for just starting but the bonuses stopped. My handful of political articles went from hundreds of views to just a handful over a few weeks. So I stopped. Medium seems to be de-emphasizing political writing and generally trying to funnel money to the Jessica Wildfires of Medium. but I’m tired of seeing Tim Dennings crap but that’s what the masses want to read. It’s a shame there isn’t a good competitor.
