This is all just noise. I think what happens is a slow erosion of our basic rights and laws that have been on the books for decades if not centuries. It’s kind of like boiling a frog. Decades go by and death by a thousand cut. Next thing you know women have to cover their faces and can’t drive cars. But, as we’ve seen in Iran there is a limit to some of this bullshit. Old Supreme Court justices die off. Alito and Thomas don’t have many years left. The inevitable shift to a more liberal society will continue. Two steps forward. One step back. And so on.
