The whole immigration thing could be solved tomorrow if the republicans wanted a solution. But they don’t. It’s an easy to understand wedge issue that they can scream about on Fox News and their big money donors need cheap labor to keep their sleazy operations going. They will continue to do nothing (ok they built a worthless wall ) because it’s a useful tool to rile up the base.
