The unintended consequence of the women's movement was to turn them into money making machines and forgoing traditional roles like being a housewife and caregiver. Inflation has stripped away the ability for a one earner family to buy a nice house and raise kids. It will get to the point that even a two earner family will not be able to keep up with the cost of living and couples will simply stop having children. Then we are really screwed.
