The simple fact that trump was deeply unpopular in 2020 and although Biden wasn’t a great candidate, it was better than the alternative. Biden should’ve made it clear early on that he wasn’t running again. That mistake doomed Harris because we never had a real primary. I’ve talked with many people that didn’t vote for Harris because they felted cheated because they never had a say. Pile on that deeply dissatisfied voters with their economic situation and people said fuck it I’m voting for trump.
