The problem with Tech is their sales techniques. They get you hooked on free or cheap products/services and then spring fees or subscriptions on you. Sounds like what you experienced in the banking world. Free service ooopps now it's going to cost you to do some task that is vital to surviving. Amazon just realized they couldn't make money here in the USA on free grocery deliveries after a couple of years and now it $9.95 a delivery (the rest of Amazon Prime is still free for the most part).
