So many people have predicted this outcome with our experiment in Democracy that some change agent would come along and blow it all up. That person was Trump. This was also predicted in Strauss-Howe Generational Theory that we are in the fourth turning which is the end of the cycle. WW2 was the last big end of a cycle. We are going to go through some interesting times and it might not be pretty.

But I agree, like an alcoholic needs to reach rock bottom before asking for help, this country needs to be reminded of what can happen when we let despots like Trump run the country. I think he will win the election by a sliver and install his regime and implement project 2025, but he won't last more than a couple of years due to failing health and incompetence. JD Vance is no Trump and the power struggles will undo the whole MAGA infrastructure and put democrats back in power. If by some miracle Harris wins we will keep replaying this game until there is a hot civil war...
