Nothing will happen with the more liberal voters until things are patently different in their day to day lives, but like boiling a frog it might be too late then. Just like Germany before WWII, Hitler had some luck, some help and a lot of determination. Eventually we had WWII and all the atrocities but Germany eventually bounced back better than ever. Like an alcoholic that usually has to hit rock bottom before seeking help, the USA might have to find a bottom before we can build something better. We aren't there yet.
