Nothing will change until we hit rock bottom. Just like an alcoholic. We as a country will want to make systematic changes in order for us to recover from this mess. We could end up like Russia and be stuck in this doom loop for decades. Or worse like 1930s Germany or Japan. Except there will not be anyone coming to our rescue. I keep telling everyone that 2025 could be the year it all falls apart. What is it going to take to shock people out of complacency. A global pandemic didn’t do it. Hand to hand riots in every major city with many people dying. Electricity and water failing. Police and fire not responding? What will it take and is it too late already? I feel bad for my kids that will have to go through this.
