Just like Trump followers are a cult and they can't see how bad it is for their personal lives to follow that idiot, gundamentalists are a cult and no matter how many people die any changes to gun laws are an affort to their existence. They would rather die in a mass shooting than give up some access to guns. It will never change until it's all out war in the streets.
