I'm wondering if we work for the same company here in the Seattle area! But we have very few black Americans in our office (IT). People of color actually make up the majority of our office and they are Asians and Indians. We have more Africans than Black Americans. When I moved out to Seattle from Washington DC, I was like where are all the Black people? it was weird...

Anyway, I am in the same boat as you. They want us to come back to the office, maybe in September. They are asking for volunteers to come back this summer. I assume ass kissers and people that have loud roommates will be the first ones. Everyone else, not so much. Privately, I've had two women tell me they will quit and look for remote work if they force us back 100%. I might too. I can't possibly go back to 100% in-office work. The traffic in the Seattle area is awful and I do not want to waste an hour each way every day anymore. I'd rather take a nap...
