If shit really breaks down and we are trying to survive for more than a couple of weeks without some type of aid, it's going to get bad. Riots and violence. Hungry people will do just about anything. I would be more worried about hungry city dwellers running out of food and heading to the suburbs. Solar ovens don't work here in the pacific northwest about six months a year. Canned food does last for years. Years past it's expiration date.

If we are getting to the point where we are out of power for weeks and food is running out. It's going to get nasty and people with guns will probably be running the show. Not a bunch of back to nature types planting a garden...
