I wouldn't put it past this court to punt the ball until after the election. I'm sure Alito and Thomas would love to rule that Trump (or any future president) can be King. It's their wet dream. Roberts and the Democrats probably not. They will probably let the appeals court ruling stand with some wishy washy message about visiting it later
