I think we all know a few Trump followers at this point. They are stereotypical to a fault. They watch Fox news and follow the most insane conspiracy theories without doing an iota of fact checking. They know their facts and there is no showing them anything else. It's all doom and gloom over on the Trump side. Gays, Blacks and Jews are taking over. The hordes are crossing the border and raping our children. Liberal cities are dying and crime is rampant. My inlaws constant ask us how we can live near Seattle (we are 20 miles away) aren't the hordes of criminals taking over?

But all of this is for two reasons, despair and chaos. If you keep people in a perpetual state of despair it keeps them looking for solutions (to problems that don't exist) and if it gets bad enough, possible using violence to get what they want (January 6th).

And as Littlefinger said in Game of Thrones: "Chaos is a ladder". Chaos open opportunities to the criminals and fascists. It's exactly what Trump wants is chaos
