I think this goes in the same bucket as all the election polls and how inaccurate they were. I'm not arguing there isn't a huge problem, but I think Trump supporters (most of them anyway) know he lost but just tell the pollsters what they would like to have happened. But you are right, it will lead to violence if something isn't done and I don't know what that is.
