I think the right wing media machine has done a good job of coalescing all the anger from a variety of sources. Some are pure racists, some are evangelicals, some are incels and blame women for everything. Some just want to drive big trucks and shoot guns. They found open arms at Fox news and Trump. Bring me your poor, your uneducated, your angry masses.

The bottom line question is why are so many people angry to begin with? Some of it change. Some of it is power. Some of it is greed. In an era of me, me, me instead of the greater good of the people, everyone with a gripe about something is suddenly self important and also uneducated. It's the Dunning Kreuger effect. It's low wages. It's lack of upward mobility. It's the lack of affordable healthcare. It's all that... and they are directing their anger at anyone that doesn't look like themselves.
