I think that NATO pretty much has figured out that Russia is a paper tiger, except they still have some nuclear weapons. The war in Ukraine has shown that we never needed to have a full scale war with Russia and allowing Ukraine to do the dirty work of bleeding Russia dry. The West is just fine with this scenario for as long as it takes. We all know the elephant in the room is Russian nuclear weapons but I am guessing that they are a mere shadow of their former arsenal because the Kleptocrats have probably stolen parts off of most missiles and there is the whole tritium thing, which I doubt Russia has been on top off.

Ukraine is going to get tanks and probably planes real soon. I wouldn't doubt that the Ukrainian military has been training in Germany and the USA for quite some time in preparation. This will push the Russians out of Ukraine, probably by the end of the summer.

Remember, Russia really isn't a normal functioning country. It is a kleptocracy which is only there to make the oligarchs richer and richer. If Russia pulls out of this war, that won't end as the supply of oil is still there.
