I predicted this same exact thing in my own Medium article. He is toast as a presidential candidate. He will continue to siphon off money from his rapid "base". He's made the most money in his life right now and why stop the spigot?

Probably (if he lives that long) what will happen is that he will play close to the vest until 2023 then anoint one of his children or some other person like Ted Cruz or whoever his successor, but they will get crushed because it's not going to actually be Trump. They want Trump and that's all.

There are a couple of wildcards in this scenario. Trump needs to stay alive. He is not a healthy person. Also, Biden would be absolutely stupid not to have Merrick Garland open an investigation on Trump. He might be so tied up in litigation in 2023 he can't do any campaigning. Also, aliens might finally visit or we have a war with China or some other random thing but it's far from a done deal he will actually run for president...
