I just went through this. I worked at the corporate offices of one of the worlds largest retailers (no not Amazon thankfully), and barely put in 5 hours of work a week as a software engineer. The expectations were so low. A much better gig came along last summer and as a middle aged programmer, jumping jobs can be tough because it's all young people in software these days. Anyway, the new job is 100% WFH because I hate people and commuting, so it worked out. BUT, they are actually expecting me to work! It was a big change but I actually like it. Taking naps and watch youtube all day is boring in itself and now working almost 8 hours a day is kind of rewarding.
