I just read a lengthy piece in The Atlantic about this reporter going to Trump rallies to see what is really going on. She basically said that all the stuff leading up to it. The vendors and food and everything outside is like a giant carnival and quite full of energy and I guess fun for the MAGA true believers but the actual waiting around for Trump and then listening him drone on for hours is pure torture and people get bored and leave in the middle of his speeches or don't even bother going into the speech and just hanging around outside where the fun is.
