I don't think things will happen that quickly, I don't think we are going to see the real problems until 2025 when two people claim they are president because our election system will be so screwed up nobody will be able to decide. The supreme court will most likely have to decide and it they will pick the conservative candidate. That's when the problems will start. Mass rioting. States shutting off borders. You are seeing it in Texas right now as that idiot Abbott is shutting off the Mexican border to truckers and trains. I suspect if things don't go their way in 2024 the red states will form a loose coalition (aka confederacy) and try and force the federal government's hand to deploy troops and such. Kind of like Putin declaring Ukraine to be part of Russia and sending in the troops. Except this time, sending troops to Texas to restore order is justified.

Either way, I am safely in a deep blue state on the west coast. We vastly outnumber the MAGA idiots so good luck trying to overthrow any type of liberal democracy out here. Same goes for most of the blue areas. Remember that something like 60% of Americans identify as Democrats.

Will it all lead to bloodshed, probably. The question is how bad will it get and what will this country look like on the other side? That I can't answer but I am stocking up on supplies in 2024 and maybe a couple of guns because it's not going to end well.
