I don’t really think it will breakdown into three parties permanently. Most republicans will get the message from Fox News that DeSantis has been anointed the new leader and the base will gather behind him. But Trump being himself doesn’t want to money to stop flowing so he’ll just keep campaigning and running for president and and some small percentage of followers will vote for him. Even if it’s like 5% it’s enough to screw the pooch for DeSantis. The republicans are in a real bind. Things aren’t much better on the left with an ancient Biden. We should know soon if he will run.
