I am very much on the fence about this, unlike you. On one hand, we've seen what Trump can do, which is just a lot of bullshit and theatrics. Even January 6th was poorly organized if organized at all. He always wants to be in the limelight no matter how stupid he looks. The very latest polls are starting to turn against him. The Koch brothers must be a huge hit against him and I am sure others will follow. Plus the dude would be 78 when he would possibly be elected and is really showing signs of dementia. Look at his speeches from 2015 and compare them to now and you see a huge difference.
OTOH, he's got some diabolical people behind him like Bannon and Miller. Who knows what schemes they are coming up with to fuck with us all. Calling up the military and invoking the insurrections act is absolutely something a Fascist would do. Reading Robert Kagan's Opinion piece in the Washington Post is terrifying.
Do I think Trump will be elected? I think it's highly unlikely. We still have 11 months and Biden has barely broken a sweat doing campaign stuff while Trump is at full throttle already. I honestly think people will get sick of Trumps negativity and vote against him either a third party ticket or Biden.
Let's chat in 18 months and see where we are!
