I agree with most of what you said. I don't think the USA will end up as a fascist state. There are too many very rich people and companies in this country to let that happen. Can you imagine no more New York stock exchange? Amazon.com? Apple stores? All of that would grind to a halt as the fascist took over. That alone is enough to tell me that the oligarchs in this country would never let that happen.
You did leave out one revolution that happen with very few armed people. The Iranian Revolution in 1979. Basically a bunch of protestors overran the main government buildings with no plan, no army and eventually became the Theocracy it is now. So, I don't think the USA is out of the woods.
