I agree with everything you say but I want to clarify something. Earth doesn't have feelings. Earth is not going to end for billions of years when our sun runs out of hydrogen and slowly expands engulfing the Earth and vaporizing it. Humans, plants and animals will adapt or even leave the Earth for new adventures in the galaxy.

We've done a crappy job of stewardship on this planet, but there is hope that we can turn it around with green technologies at some point in the future. But I agree, it will slowly evolve over many centuries. It takes the cooperation of many nation states to come together, unfortunately that is not happening quick enough.
