Pfizer can create a new vaccine in a week, but only for those in wealthy areas that can get access to decent healthcare. The coronavirus can't mutate so much that it will wipe out earth's population. So, the virus will continue to ravage the poor and uneducated. This Covid thing will end some day, maybe only in rich parts of the world.
