Great article and I am in complete agreement with you that this is not going to end well. God, Guns and Gays as they say in red states are the defining motivation as to why they keep doing this with no seemingly rational reason. But there is a wildcard in all of this and we are seeing it play out today with Facebook continuing the ban on Trump. American corporations do not like turmoil. Its bad for business and profits. As much as I don't like our corporate overlords, they do just want us all to get along. Soon, most of the big corporations will have to choose between supporting a white ethno-nationalist autocracy, or a multicultural democracy. Which one do you think they will choose? (Except the My Pillow guy, we know how he would go!). They will choose the one that makes them the most money and that ain't a thugocracy.
