Great analysis and I completely agree! First is you are right about the money. All of the GQP is on the grift right now. They see all the money being thrown at Trump by the "base" and want a piece of the action. At the same time you are seeing corporation pull back on republican donations and doing things like pulling out of Georgia. Hopefully that trend continues as the crazies start to run the GQP.

I think the other big thing is the Covid diaspora. Many thousands (millions?) of people have left the coasts and gone generally to redder states where things are cheaper. Texas and Florida have been big beneficiaries of this movement. Hell, my neighbors just sold their house here in the Seattle area and are moving to Ashville, NC. There goes another blue vote to a deeply red area. I am not so sure the republicans will take over the House. The Senate is a different story.
