Fake patriotism is essentially putting the needs of the individual over the needs of the country. A real patriot would get a COVID shot for country. Fake patriot say their needs outweigh the needs of the many while wrapping themselves in a flag. Capitalism and greed and zero sum mindset are at the root of this. This is why China will crush us long term because we (in the USA) value individualism and not collectivism.
