CNN is just doing for the ratings. They want that old mojo back from when a nation was shocked Trump could actually be elected. He won in a very special set of circumstances that are very unlikely to happen again. Trump will go down in flames as most of the country has moved on from his schtick. He will ride it until his dying day and beyond as the cult he created keeps throwing money at him. It’s exactly as he wanted. He could care less if he wins just send him money. Republicans are just biding their time until he loses (again and again!) until they can right the ship and get back to the real cultural wars.
