As we’ve seen around the world, that desperate people put people in power that claim to represent their interests but in actuality don’t. From Putin to Orban to even Fidel Castro. Time and time again propaganda and dire living conditions propel autocracy to power. Unfortunately I think this is our future until something snaps like a hot war. Until people feel real pain and put 2 and 2 together they won’t vote for their own best interests. We aren’t even close to that yet.
