Americans Will Never Know Who Wins in 2024

Republicans have primed the pump on a stolen election

The 2022 midterm elections are just around the corner, and we are already seeing what a mess it’s going to be. But honestly, I am not all that worried about 2022 and the outcome of that election. Because no matter who takes control of the House and the Senate, we still have a Democrat in the White House and that pretty much means that if the Republicans take back both houses, nothing will get done. It will be classic gridlock inside the Beltway.

One of the main reasons I’m not too worried is that both sides have gerrymandered themselves into a corner and strengthened their positions in their districts so that it will most likely be a wash. Sure, the Republicans might win back the House, but it will be such a narrow victory, that it will be assured gridlock. I don’t think the Senate is really going to change hands and again, it will be a very narrow margin. Neither house will have the 2/3rds majority to overrule a veto. So, gridlock will happen. Which is probably not a bad thing.

What the 2022 elections will show is to what lengths the Republicans try to claim voter fraud when they lose. Or, how badly they’ve damaged the voting infrastructure. It will be just a beta test of their voting law changes and to see how much they can get…
