A couple of observations. I got married before the age of dating apps but many people I know met their spouse through dating apps. Not all apps are considered equal and are for different goals. There are apps geared toward long term relationships and those are geared toward hooks ups. Obviously, if you are looking to get married, you probably should stay off of Tinder or even Match.com

I was/am an introverted guy. I was extremely shy in my teenage years and into my 20s. I also hated dating for dating's sake. I wanted to have a girlfriend and not have to worry about dating. I guess to that end I was looking for a spouse but didn't really know it until I hit 30. I had my share of long term relationships by that time but when I hit 30 I decided I really wanted to get married so I had to get off the couch and meet people going to bars wasn't my thing so I just started living my best version of myself and that included lots of extracurricular activities that brought me in contact with women. I joined a hiking club, volleyball, bowling, softball, etc etc and eventually, I met my wife now over 20 years married. I knew several people that just complained about not getting dates but they never did anything about it. You are absolutely right, you need to put yourself out there in groups of like minded people, whatever those activities are...
